June ACEO via :iconoc-trades: for :iconlerafhy:!

I drew her cool wolf/husky OC Hatchico! Hatchico comes from Norway so I did some mountains and a fjord on the background. Drawing this made me wanna go to Norway and see real fjords... maybe some day it happens! :dummy:

I really like how the background came out but I afraid there is a bit too much contrast between the character with thick black lining and landscape with soft colors… Feel free to tell what do you think.

Gorgeous, gorgeous background. I admit, I kinda want to swat the dog outta the way just to see the scenery. :paranoid: That said, the character is nice too, although the dark lines do make it stand out a bit much against all the soft cool colors. I just love the water and the mountains.

Aww, thank you very much, I am glad to hear that you like the background! :floating:
I like it a lot too and not least because of a reason that it was kind of an experiment: I used my Promarkers with blender first time there.

And thank you for your opinion about the character's outlines;
I wasn't sure whether I like the effect or not so it is good to hear different opinions. ^^

I'm on a bit of a background kick right now. :giggle: And I've always admired yours, especially the salt and watercolor.

I honestly have no idea how to blend pencils or markers...graphite, fine, just a stick. Swooshyswooshy, done! Markers? Y U NO BLEND?

Well I do like both, but it really depends on the piece and what kind of contrast you're going for.

Yes, markers can be blended too. :happybounce:
I have had a blender for my markers for a long time and now I decided it is about a time to learn how to use it.
So after few videos in Youtube I decided to try it here.

Here is a link for a blender from Letraset's Promarkers I use: [link]
Maybe other marker brands have also their own but that is what I use (or try to learn to use). :D

Legasp! I have a blender for my prismas but I have no idea how to use it. I tried and it just made everything...wet. xD Great idea on the youtube videos though! I hadn't even thought of that. Derrrrrp.

Aww that´s super sweet! I love that playful pose and amazing background there! (and of course and as always I must admire how you manage to put the whole character to that tiny card XD) amazing and peaceful card from you again  Hatchico must be really happy :D

Thanks a lot hon! :glomp:

I do hope she likes; at least I enjoyed a lot for drawing this card. ^^
And thank you for organizing these trades; it is always nice to join and be excited to see who the trading pair will be each time. :dummy:
