Panda Nordanner incoming! From this pretty couple: 6174 AS Abstruse x 5171 Aurifer Luna. Thank you *kalmanen for making this Panda baby happen!

Panda is my favorite of Nordanner mutation; I like its simplicity and it also tickles my imagination by giving so many possibilities for character development. I also like oriental aesthetics very much and I am planning on drawing this new baby in different Asian environments. I have to admit that my knowledge about differences between different Asian cultures is still rather hazy and cheesy but I hope to fix the situation by exploring the actual cultures while drawing backgrounds for this yet unborn character.

This is my very first deviation in 2014 so should probably say something constructive about the artwork itself... I tried to do a picture with less promined linework but I think this ended up being a weird mixture of having and not having lineart. I am still quite happy with it even if it didn’t end up looking like I originally planned. I hope you can recognize oriental influences from bamboos I threw there and from my pathetic attempt of drawing stylized clouds. :D

I live in Europa, in Finland to be more accurate.
I found a white gel from an art shop in nearby city: it is a Hybrid Gel Grip K118 by Pentel. Not sure if those are sold in US tho. :(

And thank you kindly for your feedback!

We just got some snow so it really is beautiful at the moment. I am just afraid it will melt away next week and everything will be dark and muddy again... but must enjoy this white moment as long as it lasts! :D

I wish you good luck with your gel pen searches! :w00t:

:stare: Lucky! I hardly ever get to see snow! But that is the states for you! The south to be exact, If it EVER snows here it ices over literally the NEXT day. :( So it isn't all white and fluffy! :shifty: I hope it last a very long while for you! :la: <3

Thanks! I very much need it! <3

Well, as I assumed it melted away but hopefully we get some more soon. Even if there are side effects on having snow (it is cold and slippery and it blocks the roads... etc. :giggle:) I love its look and am excited every year when it snows.

I am sure there where you live are some other nature phenomenons and beautiful things that we north people can only dream having. :aww:

Aww, <3 We have a chance of snow this weekend. It is 30 degrees outside. -_- And it is supposed to rain. <3 So hopefully on Sunday night so I don't have to go to work Monday, :giggle: Because whenever it snows here (since it doesn't happen often) the southern people freak out since no one knows how to drive in that shit. xD

I also enjoy the sight of the beauty of snow, but my favorite sight is watching the leaves change from green to orange, yellow, brown, red, etc during fall! <3

Even if we get snow every year, driving during winter is still something that people have to get used each winter. During sunny summer it is so easy to forget how treacherous dark and icy roads can be...  I hope that if you get snow, no accidents will happen. ;P

Must agree that fall is the prettiest season. I love its colors and even if nature is "dying" and going to sleep, I find autumn like a new start after summer vacation. It is good to go back to work/school/whatever with newly loaded batteries. :dummy:
