A little gift for who is really nice and inspiring person and also a great artist. If you want to see amazingly beautiful colored pencil works with lots of dragons and stunning space views you should check her gallery!
In this picture there is her OC Ventus the Skysurfer in my favorite colors: purple and turquoise. I hope you like my interpretation!
I tried that one time, but that didn't work ): does it have to be a special salt? or should the colour be not to wet? or does the salt have to be very small or large? ...I'm just more a photographer than a traditional Artist XD but sometimes I love to do abstract stuff^^'
maybe...do you maybe know a nice tutorial here on dA or a Video on YouTube that may help an idiot like me XD?
Yeah, it can be tricky at first to find a balance with salt and amount of color... but just try different combinations and you'll find out what fits best for you!
I use normal table salt; the thing you can put on your food. Color should be wet because the effect happens when salt absorbs water from color and leaves just patterns. If the color is dry, there is nothing to absorb.
I have been thinking about doing a tutorial but haven't got it done yet... But I hope these tips will help you to get started!
Photographing - that's something I would love to learn to do better!
Wow, this is just breathtaking... I don't know what to say. I'm so happy right now, you really made my day. This means a lot me! Ventus looks so wonderful in your style. I especially love the head. He looks so bright and sweet as if he want to say: Cheer up and fly with me :3 Just love it. I love everything of the picture i don't know where to start!
The pose is so dynamic and i love the way how you drew the ribbons and how you colored them. Also the wings and the neck are very well done as well as the design. Everything is right. Also the background is awesome *_* You know i like this structure and the technique you used. It' also a great color combination! I didn't think that turquoise and purple fit well together :3 It seems as if he flying at night right after the sunset.
Thank you so much I'm so happy that you drew this for my
Ventus was such delight to draw (I love his wings and ribbons - I just had to emphasize those ribbons!) and because your space views are so magnificent I wanted to bring something space-y also to this picture. Of course my space is quite lame compared to yours but I really enjoyed painting it and likely there will be more moons and starry backgrounds from me in the future. I just have to learn how to draw rounder circles... my moon here is quite bumpy!
So it was really my pleasure to draw this picture to you! Thank you for being such inspiration!
