Trade: Devil in Disguise by Agaave Trade: Devil in Disguise by Agaave
There cannot be too much purple. Right?
Ok, my original intention was not to use only purple but more versatile color palette... Sometimes purple just happens. :XD:
I hope :icondoviecaba: doesn't hate purple because this is my half of our art trade!
In this picture there is her very handsome #Nordanner Devil, featuring also wings from Goldwing Potion.
He might look like an angel but his behavior is consistent with his name – rather devilish. :giggle:

Thank you very much! :floating:

In this piece I have used mostly watercolors and added details and shading with colored pencils. There are also white gel pen for highlights.

Anytime!

And that is so cool! I used to do lots of watercolor a few years ago, but then I switched and am more accustomed to acrylics. I love how your watercolor work looks so different from others I've seen! Do you have lines to 'paint in' with pencil before you start?

I think my watercolorworks are lacking transparent washes you see with other people's paintings. I guess I try control them more than I should! But I am glad to hear that you like my style.
In this picture I have used grey marker lines. I still should learn to use just pencil lines but I am too lazy to move my sketches on another papers for paintings so I just ink them instead. ;)

hi, I'm in your gallery because of Lelexiana's contest. :D
This is not at all the kind of art I would have searched for myself, but I'm glad I found you. I'll be :ninja: you too. Your art is beautiful, you draw some great landscapes, and you're a master at drawing horses. I've GOT to learn to draw a horse :giggle: One day, I'll try. First, I'm going to see how other people are doing it. Yours look amazing! :w00t:

Thank you very much! I am really happy to hear that you stopped by and like what you see.
Horses are really one of my favorite things to draw, such noble creatures and lots of fun to draw. You should definitely give them a try!
I am still quite a noob what comes drawing landscapes but I practicing them and hopefully they get easier picture by picture. :D

I am sure =Lelixiana would also be happy to hear that her contest is helping people to find new artists! :w00t:

This is really a masterpiece!
I love everything in this picture. I don't know where to start xD
At first i really like all the details as well as in the background and on the character.
Anatomy is perfect and the pose is great! Sp proud and mighty!
I especially love the wings with all their tiny details as well as the mane and the tail. Really very well done :3
Now the background: I don't know i just love it *_*
This purple color is awesome and the clouds and the rocks are simply amazing. Again there are so many details. Also the moon and the sky i svery well done. I like the coloration of the sky bceause it's so smooth but they are still differences between the brightness. As is the sky's foggy as well :D
Also you did a great job with the shadings. They were set on the right places and it makes the picture look more realistic.

All in all i just love this one. I can't say more :3

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your thorough comment! :glomp:

And hey, did you notice - there are not thick, black outlines this time!
Ok, there still is lineart done with grey ink but this is a baby step towards lineartless drawing... I am trying to get used to not seeing heavy outlines. ;P
So thank you for being an inspiration to take that step!

No worries for the late reply - I do that all the time! :meow:

And yep, I have been surprisingly (also a surprise for myself) productive lately; I hope I can keep up the pace!
Luckily I am slow drawer so even if I am drawing little every day I hardly get anything finished sooner than in a week...
Not flooding anyone's inbox with this pace! :giggle:

Whoa. I am totally floored, stunned into near silence. :omg: But I can't be silent, 'cause I have so many things to say! I love the ethereal, mystical setting. The giant moon rising in the background is just...ahhhh. Love it. And that is one gorgeous equine. Gaaah, seriously, I can't stop staring at this. There's just too much beauty to take in, and so many lovely details to look at.

Hey, now that you mentioned I remember that I had couple of those huge posters!
Another had two black horses and something red on the background (this was my favorite) but I cannot remember what another had...
Memory is a weird thing; I spend long time staring at those posters as a kid and now I cannot even remember how they looked like.
I wonder if I could find them from my mom's attic or did we throw them away...

figurine, though I don't remember what happened to it.:B

Good old memories! :giggle:

I had an army of My Little Ponys and also couple of realistic looking horse figurines but what I really wanted was rather big fantasy horse figurine my friend had: it was pink or purple (cannot remember anymore which) with super long mane and tail and lots of sparkly jewelry.
...I think I now realize where all these horses with wavy manes and weird colors come from... :XD:

Oh don't remind me of my little ponies
my room was full of them I even had cards
from the old series. Now that you mention
a horse with a long mane I remember having one
with particularly long mane...I also remember
how difficult it was to keep it from getting
tangled.:D...darn that plastic mane!:shakefist:

Wou, aivan uskomattoman kaunis työ! Ja miten täydellisesti nuo kaikki violetin eri sävyt tähän käykään. *v* Lisäksi kaikkia yksityiskohtia on ihanaa tutkiskella, erityisesti siihen viitaten pitää mainita nuo siivet!

Isot kiitokset!
