I have used mixed media here:
Character's base color is done with markers and then I have added details and shading with colored pencils.
There are also some white gel pen dots in wings.
Background is made with watercolors and patterns come from salt.

It's rare to see red and purple together, because you have to blend them *just right* to have the privilege to use them, and you have earned that privilege without question.
