It was not my intention or source of inspiration but that's what I think when I look at this picture:
Exploding watermelons!

I have drawn this little dragon already last year but he was lacking background. I was feeling crafty so I cut him off the paper and added nice mess behind him. There are a page from a magazine (the one with blue leaves and green berries), book pages painted with watercolors and some purple cardboard. All covered with paint splatters.

A companion piece:

Haha, I tried to read the text from the book pages and quickly figured out I couldn't. :dummy:
Anyway, I love this! It's so different and creative. I love well done mixed media, and this certainly qualifies. Love the little dragon's design.

I would have been surprised if you could read the texts since they're Finnish, upside down and covered with paint. :D
Glad to hear that you like this little experiment!

Haha, I could make out some of the letters, but with the language barrier and all... :giggle:
I really do! Now if I tried to make something like this...a mess for sure. :D

Lol. I'm sure it would be a mess, but I'm not so sure about the beautiful part. :D If I could find some interesting materials, maybe I would take a stab at it, though.

And you are officially back!!!!
And in an even more awesome edition!
This is a super, awesome idea to cut out the dragon and
put it on various cut outs of paper...the dragon reminds me
a bit of byophite only with feathers.^^

Yes I am! And going to stay! :boogie:

I am happy that you like this idea; I lent it from scrapbooking methods.
Just put a drawing on the main focus instead of a photo.

Hmmm, I didn't notice the resemblance with Bryophyte earlier but maybe it is those back-bending horns and fluffy mane and tailtip that are making them look similar.
Bryo just wants to get drawn so he is haunting my other pictures. :XD:
