Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

I want to have a new icon (a.k.a. avatar), so I decided to arrange a contest to get a new one!
My current icon is made by =Adreos and it has served me very well for a long time.
So thank you =Adreos for making me this icon!

But now it is time for a new one.

The Rules

Make me an icon that I can use here in deviantART. More information about dA icons can be found here [link] and here [link]

Icon must look good in dA-size (50 * 50 pixels). If you make the original icon in bigger size, post also smaller version so that I can see the final look. I want ready-for-use icon so that I don't have to shrink or do anything else for it before I can use it!

All kind of medias are accepted: traditional, digital, pixel, animated etc.

If you use stocks or bases make sure that you follow owner's rules and credit them properly.

Icon must be designed for me and for this particular contest.

You can use my OCs [link] or some other theme you think fits for me.

I have a permission to use the winning icons (places 1 - 3) here in dA as my icon in any time. I'll give you credit of the icon in my signature the whole time I am using the icon – so it is like an ongoing feature for you!

If your icon wins (places 1 - 3) you can't give any other person permission to use that particular icon. However, if you don't place in a group of first three, you can sell or do whatever you want with your contest entry unless there is my OC (my OCs are © to me so of course no-one else can't use them).

You can enter as many times as you want.
